Position Overview :
Combination Business Analyst/Solution Architect for our NetP domain. Resource anticipated to be used for TELUS. Provide leadership through pre and post sales, working with customer and implementation teams primarily on customer site. Participate in technical meetings to translate technical needs into business requirement. Help to manage projects undertaken by the customer CTO team. Specify business requirements and act as architect for solutions based on Subex NetP product lines. Position is required to support client in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
Responsibilities :
Translate business needs into actionable business requirement and projects. Work with other SA’s to translate business requirements into NetP requirements.
Assist customer in prioritizing and managing the initiatives currently being deployed.
Act as an advocate for Subex products and services through onsite customer management.
Work with implementation engineers who come onto project to train them on specific requirements and architecture
Join implementation reviews to ensure that implementation is tracking to specified requirements and architecture as well as make architecture adjustments as necessary
Experience & Skills :
Solid understanding of OSS landscape including comprehensive understanding of network fulfillment and assurance. Telecom OSS systems integration experience
Experience implementing vendor OSS software.
Onsite installation experience with OSS software
Ability to spec on site applications and delivery using Unix, Java, XML, XSLT, Oracle Database and Object Oriented Analysis and Design
Hands on experience with telecom carrier networking technologies ranging from TDM/SONET, ATM, Frame Relay, DSL, metro Ethernet, and IP (VPNs, MPLS, VoIP, IPTV) networks
In depth understanding of networking elements from major vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, etc.
Excellent client interfacing skills and ability to work independently on requirements gathering, documentation, analysis and solution deployment.
Excellent communication skills
At least 8 years total experience in software, networking and OSS
Solid project management experience with ability to prioritize projects and ensure sound project requirements are defined and captured up front.
At least 5 years as a Solution Consultant and/or Architect for software solutions for telecom operators
Must be able to commit to 25% travel for this role
Primary support will be on customer site in Edmonton, Alberta Canada

Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
Java (SE), Java Collection Framework, XML/XSLT, regexp and string parsing.
